New iOS 8 features you may not know about
You already know that Apple has released iOS 8 to the public. Apple unveiled its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on September 09, 2014 and announced that iPhone 6 would be offered for sale on September 19, 2014.
Apple released iOS 8 to the masses two days before the launch of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on September 17. You may not find much difference in the interface of iOS 8 if compared to iOS 7 but it is true that iOS 8 has come with a lot of new and interesting features some of which are still hidden and not known by everyone . So are you ready to know something about those lesser known features.
Camera: Manual exposure slider
You may think that this is not a hidden feature but you need to know that this is really an outstanding feature. Once you have tapped to focus on a subject, your iPhone's camera is very good in hitting the right exposure. But there is one more thing you can also brighten or darken the exposure. You will be able to do so by dragging the sun icon. You need to drag the sun icon, up in order to increase the exposure or down in order to decrease the exposure. The photo you take is updated to iCloud Photo Library. You can easily access the photos stored in iCloud Photo Library via any Apple device.
Battery Killing Apps
If you have upgraded to iOS 8 it will tell you about those apps that use the most battery life. With iOS 8 you will also be shown the reason why an app used the most battery life. For instance, those apps running in the background say "Background activity." You can also see the list of the apps using the most of the battery life. Now you are also able to find out which apps have consumed the most battery life in the last twenty four hours or in the last seven days. You can easily find this new option in the usage menu of the Setting app.
Do you know what Siri is? Of course you know, it is an Apple's voice-assistant. You are not required to use your hands if you want to open Apple's voice-assistant Siri. But you are only able to do so when your iOS gadget is plugged in. Well that means if you are thinking about opening Siri while driving your car, you have to plug in your iOS 8 gadget to the battery of the car. All you have to say is "Hey, Siri" in order to open it. You need to go to setting if you are thinking about enabling this feature, on your iOS device. Once you have enabled the feature you are able to give voice commands. Now Siri can also download apps from App store if you give Siri command to do so. There is one more thing you need to remember, right now Siri cannot open App store.
