Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 Review: Review Experts
The Sony Xperia Z2 tablet is out there on shelves with lots of improvements. It is coming up with a high price tag of $660 for 16GB model while the 32 GB costs around $745. It is the same price as that of iPad Air and Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1. With these two big competitors in the market, Sony has to really catch up to get into competition.
The Sony Xperia Z2 tablet has now come up with some of the improvements. With a stylish 10 inch screen, the stylish tablet, the arrival could not gain so much attention of the people because of the competition in market.
The rear part of the tablet is not a slab of glass rather Sony has managed to finish the back side with a soft touch textured plastic. It gives a good grip and also feels comfortable in the hands. It is 6.4mm thick and weighs about 469g. The screen comes up with low resolution as compared to iPad Air. The front facing speakers are louder, clearer and directional. Unluckily it lacks bass. Majority of tablet speakers are quite low in sound and integrated on the back. But with Sony Xperia Z2 tablet, the speakers comes in front which makes a real difference.
Sony uses the same chip from Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 which definitely makes it powerful and lag free just like Galaxy S5 and Xperia Z2 phones. The battery is 6000 mAh which is relatively low to that of iPad Air and Samsung 10.1 inch tablet. However, the tablet will last about 15 hours a day with a single charge and continuous usage. The tablet also comes up with a card slot that can support 64GB card along with internal memory of 16GB or 32GB. For the music and movie lovers, the space won’t get low.
The camera of Sony tablet is not quite impressive for those loving to click every moment in their device. With 8.1 MP camera, it still produces decent shots and will be enough for those casual photographers who aren’t very much concerned about high quality pictures. The front facing camera is 2.2 MP which is integrated above the screen and is quite decent for video calling.
In the end, it is quite a decent tablet with sparingly fast processor that won’t disappoint you while working on number of tasks or playing HD games. The bright and vivid screen and extra slim body will never get you bored by its looks. If you are looking for affordable device as an alternative to iPad Air, this device is just made for you.
